A day in the life

You’ll kick off with a focused morning meeting and training huddle, then roll out in a well-stocked service vehicle you keep tidy and inventoried. Your day is a mix of in-home plumbing and drain cleaning calls: diagnosing leaks, repairing faucets, installing water heaters, and tackling full repipes with the right tools and materials. Along the way, you build trust, educate homeowners about their systems, discuss financing options and maintenance plans, and deliver clear technical guidance. You hold yourself to sales targets, aiming to exceed revenue goals through great service and solutions. You stay current on manufacturer specifications across installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair. When needed, you mentor apprentices, modeling professionalism and craftsmanship. Every job ends with a clean work area, a satisfied customer, and a step toward earning referrals and repeat business—always grounded in ethics, honesty, and integrity.

What you’ll do

• Complete residential plumbing, drain cleaning, and other related in-home service calls.
• Build strong customer rapport to ensure an excellent experience.
• Educate and assist customers on their home systems, available finance options, and maintenance plans.
• Provide technical support and clear guidance to customers.
• Own your sales criteria and consistently push to exceed revenue goals.
• Remain professional and knowledgeable; stay up to date on manufacturer products for installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, identify, and repair issues such as faucet repairs, water heater installations, and repipes using appropriate tools and materials.
• Train and mentor apprentices as needed.
• Participate actively in training exercises, morning meetings, and company retreats.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried truck.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to drive satisfaction, referrals, and repeat business.
• Uphold high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity.

What you bring

• At least two years of residential plumbing experience.
• Sales experience is a plus.
• Preferred knowledge of tankless systems, water treatment, and well pumps.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.

Physical capabilities

• Manual dexterity to operate common hand and power tools used in the trade.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching in all directions.
• Maintain balance while working off the ground using ladders, scaffolds, and mechanical lifts.
• Climb stairs and ladders and work in high, precarious places.
• Comfort sitting and/or standing for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in both heat and cold.
• Able to see and read with or without vision aids.
• Able to hear and speak to exchange information.
• Capable of performing maintenance duties and reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
