Step into a day in the life of our Ultrasonic Shear Wave expert
Sunrise finds you on-site, calibrating your UT gear and reviewing safety protocols. Your first scan targets a critical asset where corrosion may be lurking beneath coatings. With practiced precision, you apply shear wave techniques, interpret A-scans and S-scans against the relevant codes, and flag indications that warrant further evaluation. By mid-morning, you’ve documented high-resolution images, uploaded data, and drafted clear, actionable notes. After a quick huddle with field stakeholders, you outline repair recommendations. The afternoon brings a second inspection—tight access, variable weather, and a confined-space entry—so your commitment to safety and compliance guides every move. Before you sign off, you update procedures with lessons learned and propose a tool tweak that will shave minutes off tomorrow’s setup.
