Job Summary
The Grinding/Deburring Operator will be responsible for performing grinding, deburring, and finishing operations on precision sheet metal components. This role ensures that parts meet exact specifications by removing sharp edges, burrs, and surface imperfections while maintaining quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
**Grinding & Deburring **- Perform grinding, deburring, and edge-finishing operations using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment.
**Quality Control & Inspection **- Conduct visual and tactile inspections of finished parts to verify smooth edges and defect-free surfaces.
**Equipment Maintenance & Safety **- Maintain and clean grinding, deburring, and finishing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Team Collaboration- Work closely with machine operators, welders, and inspectors to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Education and Experience- 1+ year of experience in grinding, deburring, or metal finishing within a manufacturing environment preferred.
Sills & Competencies- Proficiency with hand grinders, deburring tools, and finishing equipment.
**Work Environment & Physical Requirements **- Requires standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and performing repetitive tasks.
Schedule- Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday – Friday
Compensation- Hourly Rate: $18 - $24 per hour
