A day in this role

You arrive, review the day’s work orders, and translate technical drawings into efficient machine setups. You dial in the CNC laser’s parameters, verify materials, and run the first part with care. Throughout the shift, you watch the machine’s performance, make fine adjustments to keep parts within spec, and perform quick maintenance to sustain quality. Before each batch moves on, you measure and inspect the results. You wrap up by documenting output, tidying the work area, and aligning with teammates on what’s next.

What you’ll handle

• Set up and run CNC laser cutting equipment to meet job specifications and schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to plan each cut.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust settings to ensure optimal results.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, finish, and adherence to specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with team members to hit production goals and deadlines.

What you bring

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in CNC operation is a plus.
• Hands-on experience operating CNC laser equipment or similar machinery.
• Solid understanding of CNC machinery and laser cutting methods.
• Ability to read technical documents and blueprints accurately.
• Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Clear communication and a collaborative, team-first approach.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and overtime when required.
