Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)

About the role
Our client is a well-funded consumer fintech with a strong design culture. They are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to own the web product and partner closely with design on craft. Full-time, on-site in Berlin.

What you will do

• Build the consumer-facing web product in React / Next.js
• Own design system implementation and component library quality
• Optimize Core Web Vitals: LCP, INP, CLS, bundle size
• Partner with design on motion, accessibility, and visual polish
• Mentor other frontend engineers through code review

What we are looking for

• 5+ years in production React / Next.js
• Strong TypeScript and CSS (Tailwind, CSS-in-JS, or vanilla)
• Track record of shipping polished, performant interfaces
• Comfortable owning accessibility and i18n
• Bonus: contributions to design systems or open-source UI work
