Schedule & Compensation

  • Nights: 7:00pm–7:00am, continental rotation (2 on / 2 off / 3 on / 3 off)
  • Hourly Range: $33.50–$41.50
  • Tool Allowance: $500

  • Partnership: You’ll collaborate with production, supervisors, and outside contractors to align priorities and keep output on track.

What You’ll Tackle

  • Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic plant utilities (e.g., plumbing).
  • Conduct thorough PMs on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment.
  • Close work orders within set timeframes and document tasks using a tablet.
  • Communicate status, timelines, and risks to operators, leads, and management.
  • Work solo or in a team; assist contractors during installations or service calls.
  • Train production team members and fellow mechanics; actively learn new methods and technologies.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Solid electrical knowledge; able to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Broad maintenance skill set across electrical systems, plumbing, conveyors, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Competence with hand/power tools, drill presses, and shop tools, with a strong safety mindset.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to read and interpret documents in English.

The Environment & Physical Expectations

  • Active baking/manufacturing floor with typical industrial hazards.
  • High ambient heat; ability to work comfortably in hot conditions.
  • Physical motion: pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, climbing; frequent standing for entire shifts.
  • Regular sit/stand/stoop cycles and fine hand coordination.
  • Tasks include standing, lifting, pulling, and climbing on machinery/tooling.
  • Ability to use stairways to navigate a multi-level plant.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs (stacking, unstacking, carrying materials).
  • Prolonged standing/stooping in hot environments.
  • Availability for weekends and/or overtime when needed.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement, teamwork, and frequent multi-channel communication.
