Regional Service Depot Operations Manager

About the role

As the Regional Service Depot Operations Manager, you are the field champion who keeps our depot network running at peak performance. You will own inventory accuracy, product quality, and cost control across a defined territory while partnering closely with customers, 3PL providers, and internal teams. Your work ensures PECO’s specifications are met and that every pallet leaving a depot reflects our commitment to quality.

A week in the life

  • Start with dashboards and KPI reviews to spot production trends by depot—hourly, daily, and weekly—and identify any performance gaps to close.
  • Travel to service depots (up to 75%): conduct scheduled inventory audits (pallets and lumber), RFU/WIP quality checks, and deep-dive repair analyses on-site.
  • Guide sort-and-repair operations: communicate production plans, align labor and material needs, and help teams course-correct in real time.
  • Own cost discipline: track cost per repair, components per repair, paint and materials usage, storage/warehouse expenses, and approve/justify manual invoices.
  • Drive network expansion: support depot start-ups and ramp-ups, map warehouse flow, and deliver manager and employee training, partnering hand-in-hand with the Launch Manager.
  • Source warehousing as needed: engage brokers, evaluate candidate sites, and support lease negotiations; share best practices network-wide.
  • Safeguard manufacturing quality: verify component quality and deliver MQP (Manufacturing Quality Process) training and audits at new and existing MFG locations.
  • Be the connector: serve as liaison between locations and cross-functional partners in HR, Sales, Finance, Service, Operations, Procurement, and Transportation to resolve issues quickly.
