Industrial Facilities Maintenance Lead Technician

Location: Houston, TX 77075
Schedule: 2nd Shift — Mon–Thurs, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.; overtime as required

Core responsibilities

• General facilities upkeep spanning carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and building repairs
• Address minor plumbing concerns rapidly to minimize downtime
• Service, replace, and commission lighting systems
• Perform office readiness tasks: sheetrock repair, taping/texture, and painting
• Assist fellow maintenance technicians and collaborate with other departments
• Support installations, coordinate third-party contractors, and manage maintenance inventories

Minimum qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years’ experience in a facilities maintenance team

Technical strengths

• Skilled with shop tools and equipment: sanders, drill press, forklift, scissor lift
• Experienced with new electrical installs for industrial equipment and repair of existing plant electrical systems
• Safety-first mindset with strong adherence to industrial procedures
• Effective verbal and written communication; basic English proficiency required
• Self-directed yet cooperative in team settings
• Proficiency in Electrical Installation and Electrical/Electronic Systems

Work environment and physical demands

• Temperature-controlled warehouse/manufacturing facility with some outdoor work in hot and cold weather
• Less than 5% travel to Greater Houston offsite facilities
• Frequent standing/walking (up to full shift); bending, crouching, stair navigation
• Repetitive reaching and manual tasks; ability to repeatedly lift 60+ lbs
• Manual dexterity for tasks including typing and hand-applied pressure
