Responsibilities:
- Create, place, and finalize purchase orders based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and market conditions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with external suppliers to achieve cost
effective and compliant agreements.
- Review, evaluate, and manage supplier contracts while identifying and mitigating supply and commercial risks.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to clarify technical specifications, service requirements, and delivery expectations.
- Monitor and report procurement performance metrics to drive cost reduction and operational efficiency.
- Control spending and promote long
term cost
savings initiatives through effective sourcing strategies.
- Review, implement, and improve replenishment processes to support supply continuity.
- Manage inventory levels and forecast demand for assigned product categories.
- Leverage historical data, sales and marketing input, and market trends to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Analyze forecast variances and implement corrective actions to improve future planning.
- Gather and apply market intelligence to optimize purchasing and sourcing decisions.
- Prepare cost analyses, comparisons, and reporting to evaluate expenditures and inventory health.
- Communicate regularly with suppliers regarding purchase orders, capacity constraints, and shipment timelines.
- Plan production volumes to optimize container utilization and reduce transportation costs.
- Support transportation and logistics planning to ensure on?time delivery of goods.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Solid knowledge of procurement processes and supplier relationship management.
- Proficiency with procurement platforms and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Word.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience within the food, spice, or related manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Ability to analyze market data and trends to support informed, data?driven purchasing decisions.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
