What You’ll Do
- Set up and standardize X-ray equipment; process parts and films consistently.
- Evaluate radiographic results for acceptance/rejection and document findings thoroughly.
- Conduct system performance checks and equipment calibrations in line with process standards and customer requirements.
- Draft detailed work instructions from approved procedures (finalized by X-ray Level III).
- Apply strong knowledge of radiographic method scope, limitations, applicable codes/standards, and contractual documents.
- Communicate effectively with management; present technical information and respond to inquiries.
- Use practical math (proportions, percentages, area, circumference; basic algebra and geometry) in daily tasks.
- Solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret diverse instruction formats.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 4+ years as a certified Level II film radiography inspector.
- Current or prior Level II X-ray film certification compliant with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or AIA/NAS-410.
- Ability to pass Howmet’s certification exams with a composite score of 80% or higher (renewable every five years); documentation required.
- Leadership mindset with the ability to guide Level I personnel and trainees.
