Founding Engineer Intern

About the Role

A fast-growing, pre-seed AI startup is rethinking how top talent finds their next dream job. Operating at the intersection of AI and the global headhunting industry, this company builds fully agentic systems to automate recruiting end-to-end — connecting candidates directly with founders and hiring managers at leading VC-backed startups.

We're looking for a Founding Engineer Intern to join a small, high-velocity founding team. You'll work directly alongside the CTO and ship real features to production every day, with meaningful ownership over the product from day one.

What You'll Do

• Build and ship full-stack features to production daily alongside the CTO
• Own features end-to-end — from ideation and design through to deployment
• Contribute to a fully agentic system automating the headhunting process at scale
• Work in a fast, hacky, entrepreneurial environment with tight feedback loops
• Talk to users and measure impact by real hiring outcomes

What We're Looking For

Required:

• At least 6 months of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Experience with Cursor, Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a production full-stack environment
• Strong full-stack profile — not ML-focused, and not narrowly specialized in a single language like Python or C++
• Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong ownership mindset — able to drive features from idea to production independently
• Prior experience working in entrepreneurial, fast-paced, or "hacky" startup environments
• Open to working in a hacker house setting (including potential LatAm locations)
• Available to work 7 days a week during the internship
• Something outstanding about your profile — top GPA, strong university, impressive side projects, or an active GitHub

• Portfolio, sample projects, or open-source contributions demonstrating full-stack development

Location

This is a fully on-site, in-person role based in San Francisco, CA. The team works and lives together in a hacker house setup — think intensive YC-style sprint environment. Visa sponsorship is available.
