CNC Milling & Turning Technician

A Day in the Role

You arrive to a fast-moving production floor and head straight to your assigned cell—milling, turning, or both depending on the work order. You review prints and work instructions, verify tools and offsets, and bring the machine online. As parts run, you measure features with precision instruments, make smart adjustments to hold tolerance, and keep an eye on tooling wear and machine performance. You collaborate with quality, engineering, and production to solve issues as they arise, all while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized area.

What You’ll Handle

• Set up and/or run CNC mills and lathes based on your experience level
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and operation sheets
• Inspect parts and verify conformance using precision measuring tools
• Tweak offsets and parameters to maintain quality standards
• Track tool condition and monitor machine/part performance throughout the shift
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures
• Keep your workstation orderly and compliant with 5S principles
• Partner with engineering, quality, and production teams
• Troubleshoot machining and production issues appropriate to your skill level

What You Bring

• Background in CNC machining, milling, turning, or related manufacturing preferred
• Open to all stages of experience—from developing machinists to highly experienced professionals
• Ability to read prints and use precision measurement tools preferred
• Mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
• Comfort working independently and as part of a team
• Curiosity to learn new machines, processes, and machining technologies
