Overview:
Aegis Worldwide is curently partnered with a metal fabrication manufacturer.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate welding or production equipment using setup sheets and routing instructions.
- Perform quality inspections using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, templates) to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Monitor production runs and make adjustments to maintain quality and proper tolerances.
- Record production data, including scrap and rework, and move completed parts to the next stage.
- Assist with improving processes, updating setup sheets, and supporting new tooling or engineering initiatives.
- Participate in team meetings and corrective actions to improve quality and prevent defects.
Requirements
- Ability to read blueprints, setup instructions, and use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, decimals, and metric measurements.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and solve production issues.
- Welding certification (or ability to obtain and pass weld test).
- TIG welding experience on sheet metal (preferred).
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a production environment (including exposure to weld smoke).
- Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to meet production demands.
