Manufacturing Reliability Technician — Plastics & Packaging

Role Snapshot
- Maintain compliance with plant safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Install, align, and repair blow molders, trimmers, palletizers, and adjacent systems.
- Perform changeovers: molds, neck tooling, pins, and other equipment swaps.
- Inspect/replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses; rebuild/replace valves and pumps.
- Execute scheduled PMs and corrective work to maximize uptime.
- Optimize machines for stable processing and quality output.
- Welding/fabrication and machine repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot root causes on blow mold, bagging, and support equipment.
- Operate blow molding or injection machinery when needed.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams; follow guidance from Lead Tech/Supervisor.
- Expect duties to vary by plant layout/equipment; reasonable mandatory overtime may occur.
Qualifications
- Basic math and computer proficiency.
- Foundational knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- OSHA forklift certification.
Physical & Environmental Expectations
- Regular standing/walking; frequent hand use and reaching.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts in a production setting.
- Loud noise levels; temperature fluctuations with seasons.
- PPE required in production and designated areas.
