Role snapshot

  • Hands-on electro-mechanical assembly of electrical control racks, wire harnesses, panels, and sub-assemblies for world-class rail vehicles.
  • High-energy, team-based production environment at our Lexington, NC facility.

Schedule

  • Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Your impact

  • Build and integrate coach components: roofs, harnesses, mounted parts, electrical racks, panels, air-supply racks, and piping assemblies.
  • Wire and terminate to components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Cut to length; route, twist, wrap, tie, and secure conductors to terminal points.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble assemblies as needed.
  • Use production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts/wire lists, sketches, and verbal work instructions to produce electrical or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Apply excellent dexterity and fine motor skills when working with small parts.

What you bring

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent blend of education and experience (manufacturing or similar environment).
  • Experience in electrical panel assembly, construction, automotive, or electrical service.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Basic English communication (written and verbal).
  • Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and parts lists is a plus.

Physical requirements

  • Frequent walking; reaching; stooping; kneeling; crouching; crawling.
  • Comfortable performing overhead work.
  • Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral; depth perception; focus.

Compensation

Lexington, NC base hourly range: $18.00–$22.14. Actual pay may be higher or lower depending on budget and your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
