Primary responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations, hours‑of‑service rules, and company policies; maintain and use an electronic logging device (ELD) as required.
- Complete assigned OTR routes, pickups, and deliveries on schedule while communicating professionally with dispatch and customers.
- Perform thorough pre‑trip, en‑route, and post‑trip inspections; identify and report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate ELD records, logs, and required documentation; secure cargo and verify paperwork for each load.
- Follow fuel management, routing, and safety procedures; report accidents, incidents, delays, or compliance issues immediately and cooperate with incident reviews.
Minimum qualifications:
- Valid CDL‑A (Class A) license.
- One of the following experience options: at least 3 months verifiable OTR tractor‑trailer experience plus completion of 120+ hours at a truck driving school within the past 12 months; or 6 months verifiable OTR/regional/local tractor‑trailer experience within the last 12 months; or 12 months verifiable OTR experience within the last 3 years.
- Ability to meet DOT medical and regulatory requirements and pass required drug and background screenings.
- Proficiency in English sufficient for safe operation and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
