Sales Manager- Sterling Heights, Michigan
Direct position - pay rate $90,000-$120,000/year (based on proven work history)
Day Shift position - (8) hour shift with flex start time between 6am/8am


Job Scope of the Sales Manager:
The job scope is to procure New Sales and Maintain/Increase Sales for current customers to help drive revenue within scope and within budget.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Manager:
  • Obtain new business to achieve the corporate 5 YEAR Strategic Plan
  • Meet with and maintain relationships with all customers and direct suppliers
  • Organize all information relevant to an assigned project/quote to receive recommendations based on analysis by management team
  • Maintain and work on customer specific ERP systems to achieve and answer any quotes
  • Compile and submit all data required for quotations to be submitted to requesting customer based on the corporate quoting procedures
  • Directing and coordinating all Sales Activities locally and regionally as directed
  • Work with finance to ensure that sales assumptions for the 5-year plan are aligned
  • Work closely with General Manager & Plant Manager along with the management team to develop strategies to obtain new business, retain customers, and resolve issues effectively with each customer
  • Manage special projects as required
  • Benchmark corporate capabilities and financial results against competitors
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being full aware of new products and competition status
  • Work with all corporate departments to receive proper information for new and current programs

Required Skills/Education/Physical Requirements of the Sales Manager:
  • PLEX, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Ford Supplier Portal, GM Supply Power, eSupplier Connect, ZF Supply On. Ability to read Engineering Prints/CAD data at a high level
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Organization Development, or a related field or equivalent training
  • Basic walking and sitting along with using traditional office equipment

Specific Knowledge and Abilities of the Sales Manager:
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Ability to organize and plan effectively
  • Computer literacy including spreadsheets and word processing
  • 1-7 years' of previous sales experience
  • CAR's Training
  • PLEX Training
