We’re now looking for a Community Manager / Student Success Manager who is passionate about helping beginners make fast, confident progress in jazz piano—and become part of a warm, inspiring learning community.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable face who helps students succeed, stay motivated, and feel part of something special.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage with students in our community forum: answer questions, spark discussions, and celebrate progress.

  • Host bi-weekly “Welcome Hangs” for new members—friendly, relaxed online sessions to onboard and inspire.

  • Coordinate a monthly calendar of workshops and guest webinars with PianoGroove’s teachers and guest musicians.

  • Launch monthly challenges where students can share performances or practice logs.

  • Encourage accountability through community-based progress tracking and light check-ins.

  • Gather and synthesize student feedback to improve onboarding, course structure, and user experience.

  • Conduct competitor research on onboarding flows, paid trial experiences, and new-member events to keep PianoGroove’s approach best-in-class.

Success Metrics

  • Trial-to-paid conversion rate and feedback insights.

  • Growth in community engagement and participation.

  • Attendance and interaction in live sessions and workshops.

  • Improved beginner student satisfaction and progress.

Must-Have Qualities & Skills

We’re looking for someone who is both musically skilled and people-centered—a creative, empathetic musician who thrives in helping others succeed.

  • Self-starter who shows initiative and can work independently.

  • Empathetic with jazz piano beginners and passionate about helping them make quick, meaningful progress.

  • Teaching skills or experience in jazz, blues, and improvised piano styles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication—warm, clear, and professional.

  • Tech-savvy, experience with web-based technologies and content platforms such as Wordpress and Discourse (we’ll train you on all tools and software used).

  • Creative content mindset—you enjoy brainstorming challenges, engagement ideas, and progress check-ins.

  • Willingness and presence to become a friendly face of the PianoGroove brand during live sessions.

  • Professional setup: access to a piano or electric keyboard with MIDI connection, and a tidy, well-lit backdrop suitable for hosting online events.

  • Nice person. Friendly, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping others learn.

Nice-to-Have Skills & Tools

  • Online community management experience.

  • Experience in customer support or customer success management.

  • Basic experience with video or audio equipment (training provided).

  • A basic understanding or experience using live streaming tools such as OBS (training provided).

  • Experience with web-based community/forum platforms such as Discourse (training provided).

  • A MacBook Pro with an M-chip is ideal for hosting live events.

Equipment & Environment Requirements

  • Piano or electric keyboard with MIDI connection (required).

  • Quiet, professional space to record and host live events.

  • Clean visual setup: neat background (blurred is fine) and good lighting.

  • Camera and microphone—we can provide equipment if needed.

Why You’ll Love Working with Us

  • Fully remote and flexible schedule—perfect for working musicians and educators.

  • Collaborate with a global team of top jazz teachers and dedicated students.
