We’re now looking for a Community Manager / Student Success Manager who is passionate about helping beginners make fast, confident progress in jazz piano—and become part of a warm, inspiring learning community.
You’ll be the friendly, knowledgeable face who helps students succeed, stay motivated, and feel part of something special.
Core Responsibilities:
Engage with students in our community forum: answer questions, spark discussions, and celebrate progress.
Host bi-weekly “Welcome Hangs” for new members—friendly, relaxed online sessions to onboard and inspire.
Coordinate a monthly calendar of workshops and guest webinars with PianoGroove’s teachers and guest musicians.
Launch monthly challenges where students can share performances or practice logs.
Encourage accountability through community-based progress tracking and light check-ins.
Gather and synthesize student feedback to improve onboarding, course structure, and user experience.
Conduct competitor research on onboarding flows, paid trial experiences, and new-member events to keep PianoGroove’s approach best-in-class.
Trial-to-paid conversion rate and feedback insights.
Growth in community engagement and participation.
Attendance and interaction in live sessions and workshops.
Improved beginner student satisfaction and progress.
We’re looking for someone who is both musically skilled and people-centered—a creative, empathetic musician who thrives in helping others succeed.
Self-starter who shows initiative and can work independently.
Empathetic with jazz piano beginners and passionate about helping them make quick, meaningful progress.
Teaching skills or experience in jazz, blues, and improvised piano styles.
Excellent written and verbal communication—warm, clear, and professional.
Tech-savvy, experience with web-based technologies and content platforms such as Wordpress and Discourse (we’ll train you on all tools and software used).
Creative content mindset—you enjoy brainstorming challenges, engagement ideas, and progress check-ins.
Willingness and presence to become a friendly face of the PianoGroove brand during live sessions.
Professional setup: access to a piano or electric keyboard with MIDI connection, and a tidy, well-lit backdrop suitable for hosting online events.
Nice person. Friendly, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping others learn.
Online community management experience.
Experience in customer support or customer success management.
Basic experience with video or audio equipment (training provided).
A basic understanding or experience using live streaming tools such as OBS (training provided).
Experience with web-based community/forum platforms such as Discourse (training provided).
A MacBook Pro with an M-chip is ideal for hosting live events.
Piano or electric keyboard with MIDI connection (required).
Quiet, professional space to record and host live events.
Clean visual setup: neat background (blurred is fine) and good lighting.
Camera and microphone—we can provide equipment if needed.
Fully remote and flexible schedule—perfect for working musicians and educators.
