A day in this role

You start your 1st shift at 6:00am, ready to keep materials flowing. You’ll move between departments using the right powered equipment — a power truck, hand lift, high lift, or order picker — to stage parts where they’re needed. As orders come in, you identify the correct customer orders, assemble shipments with precision, verify packing lists and bills of lading, and record shipment data so everything tracks perfectly.

New materials arrive — you receive and unpack them, track purchase order quantities, and place items in their designated locations to keep the floor organized. If you see any damage or discrepancies, you report them immediately to support accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping. Throughout the day, you follow established safety practices, re-stack any unstable loads, and keep work areas clean and orderly. Before you clock out, you charge powered trucks and notify maintenance or a supervisor if service is needed.
