Senior Software Engineer

Caddis Solutions is a Maryland-based engineering company supporting mission-critical work across the U.S. Department of War and Intelligence Community.

Help make powerful computing resources accessible to the right people—and protected from the wrong access. This software engineering role brings together development, automation, and Linux security in a high-performance computing environment. You’ll turn access policies into working systems, with a view across identity, permissions, secrets, and provisioning.

What you’ll help build

• Put access controls into practice. Implement role-based or attribute-based access controls and permission management for computing resources.
• Make security operations repeatable. Use the Linux command line and Bash or Python to automate administrative workflows, working with PAM, SELinux, file permissions, ACLs, and audit logging.
• Connect identity and secrets. Develop identity and access management solutions with Keycloak and federation protocols such as SAML, OIDC, and OAuth2, and integrate HashiCorp Vault for secrets management.
• Automate the environment. Use Ansible playbooks for hardware and software provisioning and manage infrastructure components with Docker, Podman, or containerd.
• Keep changes traceable. Use Git and GitLab CI for version control, testing, and delivery.

Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Agile, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Framework practices is valuable. If you enjoy software work with a clear connection to security and everyday operations, this role brings those interests together.

Experience and education

This role requires at least 7 years of relevant experience with a qualifying bachelor’s degree, 5 years with a qualifying master’s degree, or 9 years of relevant experience without a bachelor’s degree.
