A day in this role
At 3:00 pm, you step onto the floor, review your traveler, and set up a manual lathe and cylindrical grinder for the next production run. You finesse rubber-covered rollers to exacting tolerances, verify OD with a pi tape and tape measure, and capture inspection data on the computer. You use an overhead crane to safely move parts, keep your area orderly, and wrap up the shift at 1:30 am, knowing your craftsmanship keeps our customers’ operations running.
What you'll own
- Set up and operate manual lathes and cylindrical grinders to achieve precise production specifications.
- Perform rubber grinding with consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy.
- Measure dimensions using a pi tape and tape measure; document results in inspection reports via computer.
- Safely use overhead cranes and related material-handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation; uphold safety procedures and company policies.
What you bring
- Hands-on experience operating a manual lathe (required).
- Rubber grinding background strongly preferred.
- Ability to accurately read a pi tape and tape measure.
- Comfort with basic computer entry for inspection documentation.
- Experience with overhead crane operation.
- Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Pay, schedule & benefits
- Hourly pay: $24.00–$26.00 based on experience
- Shift premium: 3% added when working on 2nd shift
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Thursday, 3:00 pm–1:30 am (four-day workweek)
