A day in the life
You start by reviewing service tickets, then head to customer sites across the Columbus area. You assess existing heater and air conditioning equipment layouts to plan your approach, gather parts per company procedures, and dive into diagnostics using wiring diagrams and schematics. Throughout the day, you communicate clearly with customers and your team, document every step, and handle urgent calls in all conditions. When needed, you service machinery by cleaning, lubricating, or replacing shafts, bearings, gears, pulleys, and related components to restore peak performance.
What you bring
- 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance and repair experience (required)
- Hands-on experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial/industrial HVAC/R systems
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
Core responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC/R systems
- Read and apply wiring diagrams and schematics for precise troubleshooting
- Survey existing system layouts to plan work procedures
- Obtain materials and supplies following established policies
- Service mechanical assemblies, including cleaning, lubrication, and component replacement
- Communicate with customers and teammates; document work thoroughly; respond to emergencies in all weather
Compensation and benefits
- $55,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
