About the role
As a Tooling Fabrication & Die Maintenance Specialist on our 1st shift (6:30AM–3:00PM), you’ll be responsible for minor repair and maintenance of dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures—keeping our stamping operations consistent and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose die issues via thorough inspection and accurate measurement to determine repair strategies.
- Carry out die repairs to restore tooling performance and part quality.
- Set up and run shop equipment—milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and more—under general supervision.
- Design and manufacture tools and fixtures that enable new product introductions.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned by the Tool & Die Supervisor.
- Uphold OSHA and internal safety requirements at all times.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- 3 years minimum verifiable machinist experience and/or Technical Diploma
- Proficiency with standard shop math
- Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
- Basic maintenance capability for shop equipment
- Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and thrive in a team setting
- Must have draw die experience
