Role Snapshot
- Title: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (1st shift)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm (OT as needed)
- Focus: Keep high-speed packaging and manufacturing equipment operating safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up production equipment to meet daily schedules.
- Partner with machine operators to identify issues; troubleshoot to root cause and perform required repairs.
- Read technical manuals; document configurations and changes for future setups and adjustments.
- Execute mechanical repairs and major overhauls on select packaging equipment.
- Diagnose electrical and motor problems; verify correct function and configuration.
- Perform preventive maintenance and implement approved design modifications.
- Follow GMPs and all safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Provide coverage across other shifts as needed; operate independently and as part of a team.
- Other related duties as assigned to support plant objectives.
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ mechanical experience in high-speed packaging and/or manufacturing; food industry background highly preferred.
- Associate degree in electronics or Electrical Diploma/Certificate with 3+ years’ experience; OR 5+ years of proven related experience.
- Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance (PM) methodologies.
- Willingness to flex to days/afternoons/nights for shift coverage.
- Comfort in fast-paced environments with frequent change.
- Expertise in Health & Safety and Lockout procedures.
- Working knowledge of CMMS preferred.
- Detail-focused, service-oriented teammate with strong problem-solving skills.
