Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing and production equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine necessary repairs.
• Repair and replace mechanical and/or electrical components as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Follow all plant safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Document completed maintenance and repair work.
• Work with production and other maintenance team members as needed.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely work around industrial machinery and production equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Willingness to work in a UAW/union manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work required shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Preferred Experience

• Automotive or high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Experience with industrial maintenance and production equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems.
• Previous experience working in a union facility.
