Role snapshot

  • Lead daily injection molding operations to achieve safe, efficient, and on-time production.
  • Drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Report directly to the Injection Mold & Maintenance Manager as a key member of the manufacturing team at AmbaFlex.

Your focus areas

Safety & 6S

  • Enforce PPE and LOTO; conduct safety checks and address hazards proactively.
  • Maintain an organized, audit-ready environment via 6S.

Planning & Throughput

  • Build and execute daily production plans.
  • Prioritize jobs, manage machine utilization, schedule mold changeovers, and assign staffing.
  • Monitor performance and rebalance resources to hit goals.

Quality & Process Excellence

  • Hold the line on quality standards and specifications.
  • Track cycle times, scrap, rework, and downtime to stabilize processes.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to resolve issues and elevate performance.

Data, Inventory & Systems

  • Accurately record production, downtime, scrap, and labor.
  • Confirm material availability and inventory accuracy.
  • Execute and validate ERP/MRP transactions and reports.

People Leadership

  • Coach and support operators and technicians; provide feedback and training.
  • Run effective shift handoffs and communicate priorities and expectations.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative culture.

What you bring

Required

  • 5+ years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
  • 2+ years of production supervision.
  • Expertise with molding processes, tooling, materials, machines, and quality systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, production reporting, ERP/MRP, and inventory control.

Preferred

  • Technical training/education in plastics manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
  • Experience in Lean, continuous improvement, production scheduling, and process troubleshooting.

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Additional technical or manufacturing education preferred.
