Quality Technician

Aegis is partnered with a long-standing precision manufacturer that has been in business for over 100 years and serves industries including aerospace, medical, electronics, food processing, and hydraulics. This company manufactures custom precision components including gaskets, seals, washers, insulators, and other engineered products while maintaining AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality standards. They are continuing to grow and are looking to add another Quality Specialist to their team.

Responsibilities:

• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections to engineering drawings and specifications
• Support and maintain AS9100D and ISO 9001 quality systems
• Prepare quality documentation including AS9102 FAIRs, PPAP packages, inspection records, and certifications
• Manage nonconformance reports and corrective actions
• Support internal and external quality audits
• Partner closely with manufacturing teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Utilize quality tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges

Requirements:

• 5+ years of quality experience (or 3+ years within aerospace manufacturing)
• Experience performing first article, in-process, and final inspections
• Knowledge of AS9100D and/or ISO 9001 quality systems
• Experience utilizing standard inspection equipment
• Strong documentation and problem-solving skills

Preferred:

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• CMM operating or programming experience
• Root cause and corrective action experience
• Internal and external audit experience
