Aluminum Alloy GTAW/MIG Production Fabricator

Aluminum Alloy GTAW/MIG Production Fabricator

Is This You?

  • Do you read a blueprint and instantly map your fit-up sequence?
  • Can you tune TIG balance and frequency for clean aluminum, then switch to a fast, consistent MIG pass?
  • Do you enjoy solving porosity, cracking, or distortion challenges on thin sheet and machined parts?

If yes, you’ll feel at home here. We’re adding two welders to support a growing operation that blends production runs with custom fabrication projects.

What You’ll Tackle

  • MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) welding of aluminum assemblies and components
  • End-to-end fabrication: fitting, welding, grinding, blending, finishing, and assembly
  • Surface prep and joint preparation for high-quality aluminum welds
  • Set up and dial in welding machines and parameters
  • Read and execute from blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols
  • Fit-up and alignment of parts and assemblies to dimensional requirements
  • Quality checks for weld appearance, penetration, and dimensional accuracy
  • Root-cause and correct welding defects and fabrication issues
  • Use grinders, saws, drills, fixtures, cranes, and other shop equipment
  • Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized
  • Meet output goals while maintaining excellent workmanship

Who Thrives Here

  • Welders with prior MIG and/or TIG experience
  • Aluminum experience strongly preferred
  • Fabricators comfortable with precision fit-up
  • Those who can read blueprints and weld symbols (preferred)
  • Detail-focused problem solvers with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Team players who can also work independently
  • Individuals able to handle physically demanding manufacturing work
  • Candidates with welding certifications or technical training (or equivalent hands-on experience)

Experienced Path (Preferred)

  • 5+ years in professional welding and fabrication
  • High-level aluminum MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) proficiency
  • Experience with aluminum sheet, plate, extrusion, and machined components
  • Advanced skills in prep, heat control, distortion management, and contamination prevention
  • Ability to troubleshoot porosity, cracking, lack of fusion, and distortion
  • Precision fit-up for complex, multi-part assemblies
  • Background with AWS D1.2 Aluminum Structural Welding Code

Culture & Opportunity

We’re after dependable welders who take pride in the finished product. You don’t need every preferred qualification to apply—strong fundamentals, reliability, and a willingness to learn are key. You’ll work both independently and alongside a supportive team.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and tied to your welding experience, skill level, and demonstrated fabrication ability.
