Role at a glance

As an Electromechanical Assembly Specialist, you’ll operate production equipment and build complex assemblies to precise specifications. You’ll use drawings, schematics, and work instructions to bring components together, verify tolerances, and ensure each unit meets Siemens’ quality standards and our customers’ expectations.

A day in the life

  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, and work orders to plan each build.
  • Assemble, position, and secure parts using hand and power tools.
  • Measure components and confirm tolerances using precision instruments (e.g., calipers).
  • Drill, tap, and prep bolt holes with the appropriate equipment.
  • Align and fit components utilizing fixtures, jigs, or templates.
  • Inspect surfaces and dimensions to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Clean components and work areas with approved solutions and equipment.
  • Install and test wiring, document results, and manage tool inventory.

Schedule

Shift: 5:30pm - 4:00am (2-3 months of training will be on 1st shift which is 6:30am - 5pm)

What you’ll bring

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Extensive electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Advanced wiring skills with the ability to install and test circuits.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting schematic drawings.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Clear communication in English (read, write, speak).
  • Team-first mindset and collaboration skills.
  • Fast learner with strong execution and follow-through.
  • Commitment to safety and confident operation of power tools and equipment.

  • Equipment troubleshooting and general troubleshooting skills
  • Electrical schematics and electrical/electronic systems

Compensation and benefits

The starting hourly range for this position in Georgia is $19.00 – $21.00. The actual rate may be higher or lower depending on budget as well as your experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
