Founding Account Executive

About the Role

A well-funded, early-stage B2B SaaS company in the AI GTM tools space is hiring its Founding Account Executive. This is a rare opportunity to own the entire sales motion from day one — building the playbook, running the full cycle, and shaping how an innovative AI product goes upmarket. You'll work directly with the founding team and have a direct line to product.

What You'll Do

  • Own the full sales cycle end-to-end: prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and closing.
  • Build a targeted outbound engine from scratch — identify the right channels, craft the messaging, and drive pipeline independently.
  • Define and document the sales process: tool selection, stage definitions, and the GTM playbook.
  • Relay prospect and customer feedback directly to the product team to shape the roadmap.
  • Leverage and help develop AI-powered workflows to create an efficient, scalable sales motion.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Proven track record closing B2B SaaS deals at a Series A or earlier company.
  • Experience sourcing the majority of your own pipeline through cold outbound, warm intros, and creative prospecting.
  • Ability to confidently demo a technical product to technical buyers (e.g., VPs of Engineering, technical leaders).
  • Experience building a GTM playbook or outbound engine from the ground up.
  • Excellent written communication — clear, concise, no fluff.
  • Strong sense of ownership and a builder's mentality; comfortable operating without a defined playbook.

Nice to Have:

  • Background selling technical products to technical buyer personas.
  • Familiarity with modern sales tools and AI-assisted workflows.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $135,000 – $165,000 USD annually
  • Early-stage equity opportunity

Location

This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be willing to work from the San Francisco office full-time.
