General Function
Responsible for machine maintenance, and general maintenance functions as directed
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adapt and promote lean manufacturing principals
- Active participant in the Elimination of Waste Team meetings
- Support the Company’s Goals and Objectives
- Operate equipment as is required to keep floors, aisle ways, grounds, roadways, and sidewalks at a high standard of appearance
- Routine maintenance in internal and external facility
- Preventive maintenance to include cleaning of washers and using chemicals for measuring into the washer
- Perform checks to update PM sheets and add chemicals to all the washers
- Documents and adds to the titration charts
- Use of the floor scrubber, liquid handling pumps, vacuums, and other facilities maintenance related equipment
- Serves in the capacity of wastewater handler commensurate with completion of proper training
- Possess working knowledge of IATF16949, ISO 14001 and Q1 compliance criteria (Training)
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with continuous exposure to noise
- Other duties as required by Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and sometime as needed other supervisors / Team leads. (May receive direction from the Plant Manager)
Work Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Must be willing to operate forklift if required / trained.
- Must be able to use basic hand tools / Power tools.
- Must have a basic mechanical aptitude.
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift Operator License if needed. (Supervisor / Manager may request)
Experience
- Previous experience in Maintenance Facilities, a plus.
- Ability to use hand tools.
