Hiring Immediately: Thermoplastics Extrusion Technician — Canandaigua, NY
Step onto the floor and take ownership of a high-performance extrusion line. From startup checks to end-of-shift reporting, you’ll keep production moving safely, efficiently, and with a keen eye on quality.
A day in this role
Your shift kicks off with safety and quality verifications. You’ll set operating parameters to align with Standard Line Conditions, bring the line up to speed, and monitor scrap, utilization, and quality metrics in real time. When something drifts, you diagnose the cause and dial in the right adjustments—components, temperatures, speeds—so the run stays on target. Along the way, you capture measurements with gauges, calipers, and micrometers, record results, and log performance data promptly and accurately. You’ll also spot opportunities to streamline processes and pilot small improvements that boost output or consistency.

- Hands-on troubleshooting and tuning of machine components and settings to resolve issues.
- Continuous improvement—identifying and implementing practical production enhancements.

- Strict adherence to Standard Line Conditions during operation.
- Accurate, on-time use of production performance reporting tools.
What you bring
