Schedule and location
- Workweek: Monday–Thursday
- Hours: 4:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m.
- Site: Lexington, North Carolina
Your impact
- Inspect welded and machined parts and assemblies in the Carshell welding and BG manufacturing areas.
- Execute routine visual CWI checks, dimensional measurements, and mechanical inspections.
- Use one or more NDT methods to confirm weld acceptability.
- Verify builds align with current configuration revisions and comply with applicable drawings/specifications.
- Perform first article inspections and produce clear summary and diagnostic reports.
- Maintain inspection data in MRP, track nonconformances, and manage records in the configuration management system.
What we’re looking for
- Ability and intent to obtain/maintain AWS CWI Associate or VT Level II certification, plus certification in one or more NDT techniques.
- Proficiency retrieving information from databases and entering results into electronic quality systems.
- Willingness to travel to Sacramento, CA for training—initially at least two weeks, with additional visits as needed.
Physical requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and hands-on work with parts/equipment.
- Regular reaching, climbing/balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; ability to speak and hear clearly; occasional sitting.
- Lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly; occasionally 40+ lbs.
- Visual acuity: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

- Base hourly rate (Lexington, NC): $30.00–$44.65 + 10% shift differential (final rate depends on budget, experience, and qualifications).
