Beverage Station Merchandising & Route Sales Technician

Your mission

As a route relief professional, you ensure every account is stocked, serviced on time, and performing to standard—while representing our brand and expanding sales of coffee, tea, and related products.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Run assigned routes for relief coverage: deliver, replenish, and rotate product at each call.
  • Keep beverage stations to standard; execute at least one CQC (Cup Quality Check) every day.
  • Maintain clean, functioning equipment; perform basic adjustments and minor repairs.
  • Ensure all customers on the daily schedule receive the service and delivery they expect.
  • Grow Revenue per Stop by closing distribution voids, applying pricing actions, and activating seasonal/LTO promotions.
  • Manage daily invoices, inventory counts, and collections while on route.
  • Escalate issues to the ASM (Area Sales Manager) quickly and follow through to customer satisfaction.
  • Report route inefficiencies, customer feedback, and new opportunities discovered during relief work.
  • Support the ASM with inventory cycle counts, warehouse activities, and customer-related tasks.
  • Use The Farmer Brothers Way to Sell; make additional sales calls when timing allows.
  • Assist with warehouse operations, accounts receivable collections, and customer service as needed.

Work schedule and driving

  • Typical Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, with overtime when needed.
  • Driving Requirements: Valid Driver's License required. Must be able to complete a successful DOT physical.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Route delivery experience helpful; customer service experience preferred.
  • Previous foodservice exposure desired.
  • Strong, clean driving record.

Compensation & benefits

We believe in pay transparency and competitive, fair compensation. The base salary range for this role is defined above and may vary by experience and qualifications. We use location-based salary adjustments to reflect cost-of-living differences; employees in higher-cost cities may receive a geographic pay premium based on market data and local economic factors. If applicable, we’ll review your specific salary during the hiring process based on your work location.
