Industrial Reliability Maintenance Technician (Plastics & Automation)

What your day looks like

You start on the production floor, scanning HMIs for alarms, trending VFD performance, and listening for any hint of abnormal vibration. A molding press drifts out of spec, so you isolate the fault, consult schematics, replace a failed sensor, and safely return the line to rate. Between calls, you complete scheduled PMs so small issues never become large outages, then collaborate with production and engineering on improvements that boost uptime and quality.

What you will tackle

  • Execute inspections, maintenance, and repairs across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems supporting production and facilities.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment failures quickly to cut unplanned downtime.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance per established checklists and intervals.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and findings in maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Assist with installing, modifying, and commissioning new machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Respond rapidly to urgent maintenance requests.
  • Follow and promote safety policies and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Partner with production and engineering to improve reliability, throughput, and efficiency.
  • Keep tools, work areas, and maintenance shops orderly.
