Machine Tool Electrician

Job Description

Responsible for installing, wiring and commissioning electrical systems and components in machine tools used in automated production lines.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand assembly requirements and specifications

• Installation and assembly of control panels using hand tools and power tools according to product specifications

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions in machine tools and automation systems, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and techniques

• Collaborate with engineering and other team members to interpret electrical schematics, diagrams and technical specifications for machine tool integration

• Perform preventative maintenance activities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems

• Keeping updated on machine tool field concepts, practices, and procedures

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Proven experience (minimum of 5 years) in a Machine Tool Electrician of similar role

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints accurately and effectively

• Must possess own tools

• Ability to effectively and efficiently work individually and as well in a team environment

• Must have valid driver’s license

• Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and internationally at 20%

• Frequently moves, lifts, transports, positions, and installs equipment and material greater than 20lbs
