Step into a clean, well-equipped paint booth each morning and help a Eugene manufacturer deliver top-tier finishes. NW Industrial Staffing is hiring an experienced paint-booth professional for an evaluation-to-hire role with a company known for safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
A Day in This Role
At 6:00 AM, you review work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications. You prep parts by cleaning, sanding, grinding, scraping, and masking. You mix paints, coatings, and solvents to spec, dial in high-pressure spray settings, and apply coatings with precision. Throughout the shift, you verify quality, maintain a safety-first mindset, and use hand, power, and pneumatic tools. Forklift and overhead crane skills are a plus for moving parts efficiently. You wrap up by documenting work and staging components for the next operation—ready to deliver again tomorrow.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of industrial or automotive painting experience in a paint booth.
- Extensive surface-prep background: cleaning, sanding, grinding, scraping, and masking.
- Knowledge of coating systems, application techniques, and surface preparation methods.
- Proficiency with spray-painting equipment, including high-pressure sprayers, and related tools.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and finish quality; safety-first attitude.
- Comfort lifting up to 70 lbs. and standing, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling for 8–10 hours.
- Experience with hand, power, and pneumatic tools; forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
Schedule and Pay
- Location: Eugene, OR 97402
- Shift: Days
- Days: Monday–Thursday (expect overtime on Friday)
- Hours: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Pay: $20.00–$26.00 per hour DOE
