Location: Indianapolis, IN (Near Downtown)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Mon–Thurs, 5:00 PM–3:30 AM
Overtime: ~15 hrs/week (includes 1 mandatory Friday/month)
Aegis Worldwide is hiring an Equipment Engineer for a rapidly growing, highly automated solar manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. This is a hands-on, robotics-driven, high-speed manufacturing role ideal for mechanically/electrically strong problem-solvers who enjoy being on the plant floor.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated manufacturing equipment
Perform root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions
Improve OEE and equipment performance metrics
Track downtime, failures, and corrective actions
Order and maintain spare parts inventory
Assist with installing and commissioning new equipment
Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs
Mentor junior technicians and support plant operations
Work ~90% of the time on the production floor in a fast-paced environment
3+ years of equipment maintenance in high-speed manufacturing
Experience with robotics (ABB preferred but not required)
Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical systems
Ability to troubleshoot PLCs (Inovance experience is a plus, not required)
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
Ability to read CAD drawings and understand servo controls
Must be comfortable working with international trainers (language barrier expected)
Must provide basic hand tools (specialty tools provided)
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
OR equivalent hands-on high-level maintenance experience
