Overview
We are seeking an NAS 410 certified Level II NDT Inspector with strong expertise in Ultrasonic Testing (UT). The ideal candidate will have 4+ years hands-on experience performing UT (Shear Wave) inspections on composite materials, though candidates with UT experience on metallic components and strong theoretical knowledge will also be consideredfor a 3 month contract onsite in VIRGINIA
Project Specs:
- 3 Month Duration onsite in VIRGINIA
- Pay Rate $42/hr
- 50hrs/week GUARANTEED
- $45 per diem (tax-free), 7 days a week
- Private hotel accommodations (we handle the booking)
- Must have UT SHEAR WAVE certification Level II
- NAS 410 and ASNT TC 1A certification
- Must pass a background check and drug test
Responsibilities
- Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections—preferably on composite materials/layups.
- Utilize Olympus/Evident Scientific UT equipment or similar systems.
- Conduct Shear Wave UT (UTSW) inspections; conventional UT experience also accepted.
- Work from 3D models and drawings with minimal provided instruction; rely on internal training and technical judgment.
- Follow electronic work instructions.
- Must perform daily and weekly maintenance of the equipment according to inspection check lists.
Qualifications
Must have experience in a manufacturing setting, not just field work.
Must provide proof of certification
