Technical Sales Representative, Material Handling Systems

Do you thrive at the intersection of technology and sales? As LiftOne’s Account Manager, you will diagnose operational challenges, design solutions across equipment and services, and close business that boosts customer ROI—while expanding our footprint.

Your mission

Champion LiftOne as the premier partner for material handling equipment, comprehensive service programs, preventive maintenance contracts, parts, additional repair programs, rental power programs, and rental services. You’ll translate customer goals into action plans, prove value through demos and data, and build long-term loyalty.

How you’ll win

  1. Own your territory with a strategic lens—identify targets, create account plans, and drive profitable growth with both new and existing customers.
  2. Serve as a trusted advisor—understand operations, uncover needs, and recommend equipment/process/service changes that deliver measurable outcomes.
  3. Deliver persuasive demonstrations and presentations that answer why change, why now, and why you and CTE.
  4. Propose ideas that reduce risk, cut cost, and unlock revenue growth for customers.
  5. Monitor market trends and competitors; adjust tactics to stay ahead.
  6. Craft accurate RFP responses and contribute technical solutions to proposals.
  7. Run cost-benefit analyses in real customer environments and model financing options to fit diverse buying needs.
  8. Build business fluency in inventory, asset management, ROI, and financial statement analysis.
  9. Capture every step in CRM and quoting tools from first meeting to close and post-sale follow-up.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

What you bring

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or substantial related experience in a technical discipline (highly preferred).
  • Success in industrial services or technical sales with a documented record of achievement.
  • Project management strength and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Clear, confident communication—spoken, written, listening, and presenting.
  • Creative approach to solution design.
  • Leadership ambition—this is a feeder role for future business leaders.
  • Valid driver’s license; driving is essential and must be maintained at all times.

Tools & skills

  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Salesforce.com or comparable CRM
  • High aptitude for mechanical processes and equipment

Foundation skills

  • Language – Read/interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Math – Compute discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Reasoning – Solve practical problems with limited standardization; interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.

Work realities

You’ll regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, and communicate; you’ll frequently sit. You must frequently lift, carry, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Depending on the site, you may encounter moving equipment; at times heights, fumes/airborne particles, outdoor conditions, vibration, wet/humid environments, chemicals, extreme temperatures, or electrical risk. Noise can occasionally be loud.
