OPL & Vended Laundry Equipment Technician

Bring your mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution. In this field role, you’ll support businesses across the Nashville, TN area by servicing commercial washers, dryers, and ironers in both on-premises and vended environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial laundry equipment (OPL & Vended).
  • Install and verify replacement parts.
  • Document all service activities: time, materials, and work performed.
  • Track travel data: mileage and fuel purchases.
  • Communicate repair status and recommendations to customers.
  • Coordinate with the service manager, parts department, and vendors.
  • Maintain tools, test equipment, and a company-supplied service vehicle.
  • Assist with equipment installations and deliveries when needed.
  • Support additional tasks that improve department efficiency.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • 2+ years of mechanical repair experience preferred; commercial laundry experience helpful. Equivalent education/training/experience considered.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment and diagnostic/programming tools.
  • Experience with phone/email/ticketing dispatch systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Use multimeters to validate circuits and components.
  • Organize work, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally; professional and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Resilient under changing conditions; proactive problem-solver with strong work ethic.

Travel & Physical Demands

  • Significant travel within territory; some overnight travel for larger projects.
  • Physical activities include sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, bending, climbing, and manual dexterity.
  • Lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 lbs. frequently; assistive devices available for heavier items.
  • Regular talking/hearing; frequent computer-based work requiring close vision and focus adjustment.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record required; a company vehicle may be provided.
