About the Role
As a
Structures Installation Mechanic, you will be at the heart of aircraft production, assembling and installing critical structural components for programs including the
787, 737, 777, and defense platforms. Your work ensures each aircraft meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability—supporting missions that matter.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Assemble, install, seal, rig, and inspect
aircraft structural and system components
- Interpret and work from
blueprints, work instructions, and engineering specifications
- Use
precision measuring tools and shop mathematics
to verify part accuracy and assembly integrity
- Perform
functional testing and adjustments
to ensure proper fit, form, and function
- Utilize
specialized tooling and equipment
to assemble sub-components and final assemblies
- Identify and report
discrepancies, ensuring compliance with quality and engineering standards
- Maintain equipment and perform
basic preventative maintenance tasks
- Move materials/products within the work area using
assigned shop equipment
- Support
continuous production flow
and meet schedule requirements
- Assist with
training and mentoring
of team members and cross-train in inspection processes
- Gain and apply skills in specialized areas such as:- Structures assembly and installation
- Sealing and sub-assembly
- Doors and integral fuel cell sealing
- Precision bench assembly
- Pressure and vacuum testing
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret
technical drawings, instructions, and specifications
- Experience with
aircraft structures or mechanical assembly
in an aerospace or manufacturing environment
- Strong proficiency using
precision measuring instruments and shop tools
- Willingness to train on
1st shift
and transition to
2nd or other shifts as needed
- Ability to work
overtime and flexible schedules
- Capability to work in a
fast-paced, physically active environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on
commercial aircraft platforms (787, 737, 777)
or defense programs
- Background in
aircraft structures installation, sealing, or systems integration
- Familiarity with
CNC or automated fastening equipment
- Experience supporting
lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
- Prior experience training or mentoring team members

Pay Details:
$55.00 to $59.00 per hour
