Manufacturing Cost Estimator

A day in this role

You’ll be the go-to expert translating customer specs into accurate, profitable quotes for manufactured parts. In a typical day, you’ll scope work, determine timelines and delivery commitments, coordinate with outside vendors when needed, and support in-house sales conversations. After jobs are completed, you’ll review outcomes to validate profitability, timing, and quality—then feed those insights back into future estimates.

What you’ll do

• Develop precise quotes for parts we can produce in-house, aligning every estimate with company margin targets.
• Select and manage outside vendors to meet technical, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Partner directly with customers to clarify drawings, tolerances, materials, and delivery expectations.
• Audit completed jobs for accuracy, profitability, and opportunities to adjust standards or times.
• Capture and maintain all job information in the E2 management system.
• Jump in on related tasks as needed to keep work moving.

What you bring

• Fluent in reading blueprints and technical documents.
• Continuous improvement mindset—comfortable analyzing, challenging, and refining processes for efficiency.
• Excellent organization and time management; able to prioritize and multi-task independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer and vendor interaction.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Competent with computers and basic math; meticulous attention to detail.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing.
• Valid driver’s license.
