Be the catalyst for safe, efficient production
We’re a stable manufacturer focused on quality and continuous improvement. As our Production Team Lead, you’ll guide a 2nd-shift crew, drive performance, and partner with Maintenance and Quality to deliver results. You’ll report to the Production Manager and directly supervise and train hourly talent.
Why this role
- Own safety, quality, and output for your shift.
- Coach, develop, and cross-train a capable team.
- Use data and SOPs to hit wired plant compliance metrics and exceed efficiency targets.
- Be hands-on with problem-solving, changeovers, and preventive maintenance support.
Schedule
- 2nd Shift: typically 2:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
- Occasional weekends; flexibility for 40+ hours and other shifts as needed.
What you’ll lead
- PPE compliance, safe forklift operation, and a strong safety culture.
- Completion of shift production documentation and reporting.
- Immediate communication of unsafe conditions, acts, or injuries to the Production Manager.
- Adherence to product sampling schedules and meeting all product quality specs.
- Daily resource allocation to meet the plan across all lines.
- Facility housekeeping that meets or exceeds expectations.
- Coordination with Maintenance to resolve process/mechanical issues and maximize uptime and safety.
- Efficient product changeovers and sustained standard production efficiencies.
- Ongoing training: ensure every team member is proficient in safety, quality, and job functions; maintain your own skills via company training.
What you’ll bring
- Mechanical troubleshooting/repair ability.
- Proven leadership, supervision, training, and motivation skills.
- Problem-solving, sound decisions, and clear communication at all levels.
- Basic computer skills; manufacturing background (extrusion knowledge is a plus).
Education & preferred experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years as a line operator or related role preferred.
- Supervisory training/experience preferred.
- English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.
Physical requirements
- Stand/move for at least 8 continuous hours.
- Perform physical tasks for extended periods in hot/cold environments.
- Use hands, arms, and legs to handle/transport finished goods.
- Full mobility: twist, bend, reach, squat, and mount/dismount industrial equipment/vehicles.

Pay Range: $28-$38/hour, non-exempt with overtime.
