Aftermarket Parts & Inventory Control Manager

Your Mission

Own the aftermarket parts business at the branch. Elevate customer service levels, hit budget targets, and lead a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure parts quotes get same-day follow-up—every afternoon on quotes issued that day.
  • Train all parts staff on product knowledge and how our company creates value.
  • Launch follow-up marketing programs for items like pallet jacks and electric walkies.
  • Build competitive programs targeting users of other truck brands to sell Unisource and alternative parts at sharp pricing.
  • Equip the road service force to sell targeted lift truck parts and allied products.
  • Review stock orders for non-Hyster lines (Ottawa, Linde, CAT, TVH, etc.).
  • Track daily management reports and act on insights.
  • Control obsolescence and manage consignment inventories.
  • Research and process customer orders; file parts warranties.
  • Process vendor returns and credits; fulfill service department parts requests.
  • Run physical inventory counts and audits; approve invoices.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews for parts sales representatives.
  • Recruit and train new parts sales representatives across all parts operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of on-hand stock and parts issued to customers.
  • Oversee technicians’ truck stock replenishment.
  • Prepare the annual parts budget.
  • Take on other duties as assigned.

Supervision: This role carries supervisory responsibilities for parts team members.

What You Need

  • Ability to consistently perform all essential functions to standard.
  • Strong sales enablement, inventory control, and reporting skills.

Education/Experience: Associate’s degree from a two-year college or university; or 1–2 years of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination.

Tech: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
