Founding Account Executive – US Market

About the Role

A fast-growing, angel-backed AI-powered communications SaaS startup headquartered in Vienna, Austria is hiring its first Founding Account Executive to lead US go-to-market efforts. This is a high-impact, ground-floor opportunity to build early demand, close the first US customers, and establish a repeatable sales motion alongside the founding team. The person in this role will be critical to proving product-market fit in the US and scaling the company's international presence.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the initial US launch by building localized landing pages, messaging, and basic tracking with support from the marketing team.
  • Win the first US customers by running discovery calls, product demos, and closing early deals.
  • Turn early learnings into a repeatable sales motion and documented playbook for the US market.
  • Identify, pitch, and enable local partner channels to build and activate co-selling programs.
  • Own customer success for initial accounts: onboard, support, and capture feedback to improve product and positioning.
  • Collaborate closely with founders and the Vienna-based team — including marketing and engineering — to move quickly and iterate.
  • Scale the role over 6–12 months to become the primary US owner, with the potential to hire and lead a local team.

What We're Looking For

Dealbreakers:

  • Native English speaker.
  • Ex-founder/operator or demonstrably strong experience in sales, business development, partnerships, or growth at a high-growth SaaS startup.
  • Willingness to work from Vienna for an initial 3–6 month onboarding and kickoff period (relocation support and remote setup possible afterward).

Required Experience:

  • Building and running early-stage GTM for the US market in a SaaS context — discovery, demos, closing, and establishing a repeatable motion.
  • Building and activating partner channels and co-selling programs.
  • Onboarding and supporting early customers and feeding insights back into product and positioning.
  • Creating localized landing pages, messaging, and basic tracking/analytics for demand generation.
  • Developing and executing strategic GTM plans with a strong delivery track record.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience selling AI or SaaS solutions to US SMBs; domain knowledge in AI-powered communications.
  • Prior experience in a small, fast-paced startup with cross-functional collaboration across marketing and product.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or HubSpot) and sales analytics to track funnel performance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $70,000–$120,000 USD annually (dependent on experience).
  • Founding team-level equity and ownership opportunity.
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Location

This role is based in Vienna, Austria on-site, particularly during the initial 3–6 month onboarding period. Relocation support or a remote arrangement may be available afterward. Candidates must be willing to commit to the Vienna-based kickoff period.
