As an Equipment Reliability Technician, you are the person operators call when an extrusion press hesitates, a conveyor stalls, or a motor hums out of tune. Your mission: keep the line safe, efficient, and ready for the next run.

A Day in Your Workboots

You start by reviewing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, prioritizing the tasks that keep equipment healthy. You inspect aluminum extrusion presses and supporting systems, make planned adjustments, and log your PMs with accurate notes. Mid-shift, a breakdown hits—downtime is ticking. You move fast and think faster:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
• Diagnose issues in cylinders, valves, and components across hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Trace electrical faults using a multimeter and electrical schematics
• Dig into conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and other rotating equipment
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics to isolate root causes
• Perform equipment changeovers, repairs, adjustments, and installations to return machines to spec
• Document your work thoroughly and close out PMs in the system
• Follow plant safety procedures and keep a clean, orderly work area—because safe is how we work

What You Bring

• Proven industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on strength with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Solid mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities
• Experience with motors, gearboxes, conveyors, bearings, and pumps
• Confidence troubleshooting electrical systems and using a multimeter
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Background in aluminum extrusion or metal manufacturing is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices
• Self-directed approach and responsiveness when breakdowns occur
• Reliable attendance, dependability, and a safety-first mindset
