Are you the go-to problem solver when machines won’t cooperate?
Picture this: production is humming, and a critical conveyor hesitates. You arrive with a keen eye, isolate a hydraulic issue, coordinate a safe lift with an overhead crane, and restore flow—all while coaching operators on safe restart. If that scenario energizes you, this role is for you.
The challenge you’ll own
- Diagnose, install, and repair mechanical systems: hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission.
- Service conveyors, cranes, and mobile equipment; operate pendant and overhead cranes and forklifts when needed.
- Partner with operations to sustain continuous output and step in to support operating tasks as required.
- Tackle assignments solo with minimal supervision or alongside other maintenance technicians.
- Work confidently at heights and in confined spaces across plant areas that can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
What qualifies you
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing/industrial experience (relevant military experience welcomed) or equivalent education. Background may include hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, power transmission, welding, pipefitting, structural repair, or diesel mechanics.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Availability for 8-hour rotating shifts—including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays—with overtime as needed.
- Safety mindset without compromise: follow procedures and wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and metatarsal boots).
- Consistent attendance, punctuality, and self-direction; ability to pass assessment test(s).
