Be Part of the Team That Makes Trusted Cleaning and Pool Care Products

At KIK Consumer Products, we build products and brands families count on to keep homes and pools clean, sanitized, and protected. As one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer goods, we combine accountability, collaboration, and agility to deliver with integrity—every time.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Level 1 Chemical Operator for our second shift. You’ll learn to safely mix, process, and package chemical products that power our manufacturing lines. You’ll work under the guidance of a Lead or Level 2/3 Processor and play a key role in meeting specifications and regulatory standards.

Your Schedule

2nd Shift (4:00 pm – 2:30 am, M-F with weekends per business need)

A Day in the Role

From the moment you clock in, you’ll review batch instructions and PPE, gather raw materials, and prepare equipment. Through your shift, you’ll measure, weigh, and charge ingredients into mixers, kettles, tanks, or reactors; operate pumps, valves, filters, and transfer lines; and keep a close eye on gauges, meters, temperatures, and mixing conditions. You’ll collect in‑process samples for the lab, support packaging of drums, totes, and smaller containers, and complete cleaning and line flushes to prevent cross‑contamination. Throughout, you’ll document your work clearly and follow HSE and GMP standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Interpret and follow batch tickets, SOPs, and safety procedures to stage, weigh, and load materials.
  • Operate mixers, pumps, valves, filters, and transfer systems to blend, dilute, or move product as directed.
  • Monitor levels, temperatures, and mixing parameters; promptly escalate abnormal conditions to your Lead or Supervisor.
  • Collect routine samples for the lab; make adjustments only with guidance once trained.
  • Assist packaging by filling, labeling, and preparing finished goods (drums, totes, smaller containers) for shipment.
  • Perform equipment cleaning, line flushes, and housekeeping to maintain safety and prevent cross‑contamination.
  • Accurately complete production, cleaning logs, and batch documentation.
  • Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental, and GMP requirements and use required PPE when handling chemicals.

What You’ll Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year in manufacturing or chemical processing preferred.
  • Ability to read batch tickets, SOPs, and Safety Data Sheets; solid basic math for weights, measures, and conversions.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude; eagerness to learn pumps, valves, mixers, and related process equipment.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to earn site certification.
  • Detail orientation, accurate documentation, and a safety‑first mindset.
  • Team-oriented approach and flexibility to support a fast-paced, 24/7 chemical manufacturing environment, including overtime and schedule changes.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods; lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs (bags, pails, hoses) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Frequent bending; climbing stairs/ladders to access tanks and platforms; reaching; handling hoses and connections.
  • Comfort working in an industrial chemical setting with fumes, odors, noise, and variable temperatures (indoor and outdoor) while wearing PPE (respirators, goggles, gloves, protective clothing).

Rewards and Benefits

Competitive pay and a comprehensive package: health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; retirement savings with employer match; and Education Assistance to support your continued growth.
