A Day in the Life
Start the night ensuring utilities are stable and equipment is ready for production. You’ll tackle planned PMs and jump into urgent repairs—one hour you might weld a cracked bracket; the next you’re troubleshooting a boiler control, repairing a pump, or adjusting an HVAC unit. You’ll also help operate the storeroom: receiving parts against purchase orders, updating bin cards, entering stock movements, issuing tools/supplies, and keeping accurate written/electronic records per cGMP and ISO procedures. Throughout the shift, you’ll adhere to LOTO, confined space, and fall protection requirements, handle and stage hazardous waste when maintenance demands it, and finish with a clean, organized work area and a tight log of the night’s work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding for repairs and installations on plant equipment and infrastructure
- Support storeroom operations: receive parts/tools/supplies, verify against POs, maintain inventory and employee issue files, and create purchase requisitions for approval
- Maintain complete records as required by management (cGMP/ISO) and keep storeroom and adjacent areas clean
- Operate moving equipment with great care to protect people, product, and property
- Follow all hazardous-permit procedures: lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and fall protection
- When needed, remove accumulated hazardous waste from job sites and transport it to the designated storage area
- Execute construction, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across all areas of industrial maintenance
- Model strong safety habits and effective diagnostic practices
